  • Summit has won the most overall points for 10 of the past 13 years!
  • For 25 consecutive years, there have been Summit students in positions of leadership at the state level:  This year, Hana Conte is the Editor, and Kori McLane is the 1st Vice-President.
  • Lisa Mays is in her 6th year as the State Chair of Students, who mentors officers throughout the year.  And Summit alumnus Tullus Dean is in his 2nd year as the State Chair of Technology and Convention.  And alumnus Ryan Burns in President and alumnus Wali Khan is Parliamentarian of the OSCL, the group of college students who volunteer to help run the convention.
  • Students who attend once usually attend every year.  Why?  It is the great combination of fun and learning and competition!

Questions?  Email Mr. Dean, or call him (513-502-0108).

SERVICE at convention:  Students will have an opportunity at convention to make care packages for the homeless and write letters to veterans for our service event. This, however, will require some help from OJCL delegates as the materials needed to make the care packages will be brought by delegates themselves. If you are able, please bring any of the following:  socks, deodorant, gum, lotion, tooth brushes, tooth paste, baby wipes, toilet paper, sun screen, band aids, and tissues.

OJCL’s Got Talent! The talent at the Ohio Junior Classical league convention is amazing. Friday night auditions are 10:30-11:45 PM, and Saturday’s show is 9:30-11:00 PM.
